Description:
- Under UP Marriage Grant Scheme, financial assistance is provided for the marriage of girls from economically affected families of the state.
- UP Marriage Grant Scheme The purpose of marriage grant is to provide the facility of grant for the marriage of daughters of other poor class families, so that the economic condition of that family can be improved. Regular efforts are being made by the Middle Class Welfare Department to raise the status of poor families. The process of marriage grant for daughters of other category rich, poor and BPL families is given below.
- benefits: An assistance of Rs 20,000/- per marriage is provided.
- Mizaj will have to apply through Jan Suvidha Kendra, District Floor Class Welfare Officer or the official website of the department.
- Mandatory online application will have to be made 90 days before the date of marriage or 90 days after the marriage is finalized.
- Documents like Aadhar Card, Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, Certificate showing the date fixed for marriage (Marriage Certificate Card), Widow/Disabled Certificate along with hard copies of all self-attested documents have been uploaded. In case of Rs. 10, ensure to have the documentary evidence and documents related to the bank account in print out form.
- Women from both rural and urban areas can avail the benefits of this UP Shandi Grant Scheme.

Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: Girl/bride should be 18 years of age.
- Minimum Age: Boy/Expert should be 21 years of age.

- Marriage grant will be allowed to maximum 02 daughters from a family.
- The annual income of pizza in urban area is Rs 56,460/- and in rural area the annual income should not exceed Rs 46,080/- onion.

- Other sloping category candidates will have to enter the serial number of the offline caste certificate issued by the tehsil in their offline application form.
- Destitute women after the death of husband or widow will be given preference and will not require caste certificate.
